How we can keep our children safe
We are writing to you with our final update for Easter camps. We have been keeping up to date with the government’s announcements regarding social distancing and school closures. This morning we have had a meeting regarding our camps following yesterday’s advice issued by the PM and the Health Secretary.
You may be aware that schools are planning to stay open throughout Easter holidays continuing to support vulnerable children and children of key workers. The list of key workers has now been issued, and only one parent requires to fall under this category for your child to be able to attend school. This means that families that require the most support, will be supported through this difficult time. With this in mind, and the guidelines surrounding social distancing, it is with a heavy heart that we have made the decision to close for Easter.
As small business owners ourselves, we understand that many of you are now being forced into a position where you could see your income dropped or lost without childcare. However, we feel to ignore the governments advice surrounding coronavirus and open camps would be irresponsible. We hope by strictly adhering to guidelines, we can shorten the time we spend in isolation and beat this virus quicker. Standing together and following advice is the only way we can navigate through this worrying time.
If advice changes, and the rules are changed on social distancing we may reconsider our position on opening camps. As you will know, guidance is being updated on a daily basis and we will react to new information when and as we have it. I am sure many of you will have questions regarding your bookings, payments and memberships, we are working through our emails and inquiries however we do have some staff members off in isolation. Please see below FAQ's.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for supporting us through this turbulent time. Unfortunately, we have had to make some difficult decisions in order to keep ourselves afloat but we are hopeful to come out of this on the other side, and we hope to see you all there with us. We are so sorry to let you down, as you may know this really was last resort for us and we really did not want to close.
As ever if you find yourselves needing support over the next few weeks, you can count on us to help in any way we can. Some of our staff team have made themselves available for at home childcare support should you require it.
Please keep an eye out for our activity videos that Jack, Dale, Tom, Charles and Jaime have been working hard on to keep you entertained.
We will see you on the other side – stay safe
